The lessons I learned from my Edge Project was lifelong lasting.  I learned to successful run my own business by developing leadership skills of initiative, organization and independent responsibility.  I found out that it was harder than I expected to start up my own business. I independently needed to take full responsibility of how well my business would go.  With learning these business skills, I was able to impact the lives of many women. Not only was I selling makeup to earn money, but more so to increase the confidence in other women.  The Younique Company has a wonderful message behind it, where the company was created to help those who have been Sexually Abused. In this world today, many women have a hard time believing in themselves and being confident.  Showing them how to use this wonderful makeup, and them trying it out for themselves, I was able to help them get a spark of confidence. As they have continued using this makeup, I have received positive feedback that has proven that their confidence has been built.  Impacting these women in a positive way, has helped me realize the influence I have on others.

For my future plans, I plan to always put my whole heart into everything that I do.  With keeping in mind that I can have an influence on others whether good or bad. Making sure I always do my best in everything I do will help me achieve in my dreams.  I did not know how hard it was going to be to start my own business, but I have learned I can be a leader. With future projects, I know that I can take initiative and be a leader amongst those around me. My future plans of becoming an Elementary School Teacher, requires skills that I have learned through my edge project.  I will be taking on my own classroom and running it myself. This is just like running a business, taking initiative and being independent is so important, because I am teaching the lives of students. Having the impact and building confidence in these women has shown me that I will have a lasting influence on my students as well.  I can be a positive influence and a ro-model that they can look up to. Always doing my best in teaching and everything I do, will be important throughout the rest of my life.
